Outlander fans have been left frustrated over a past season of the show that they think makes for ‘difficult’ viewing as they question if it is going to get any better
Outlander fans have been left fuming after struggling to watch a “difficult” season of the hit show.
Viewers of the popular Starz series took to social media to see advice as they questioned if it “gets better” while struggling to see out the available episodes of the fourth season. Taking to social media to voice their concerns over what they had been viewing, one fan expressed that they felt it was hard to persevere with the season.
They said: “What a ride it has been so far. I am on the last episode of Season 4. I am not going to lie, it has been very difficult to get through this season. I love love love SC/JC but maybe the lack of their screen time is what is pissing me off. I will absolutely continue watching but just want to know, does the show quality get better?”
Other Outlander fans then joined the conversation as they shared their insight into season four on Reddit. One replied: “The quality is very uneven from season 3 onward IMHO. There are some great episodes beyond season 4, but I found much of it lacking, and one season in particular is a complete dumpster fire.”
A second said: “I felt the same way, but I also didn’t care for Drums of Autumn. The transition from a mostly J/C-focused story to more POVs was a bummer for me! I actually enjoy S5!
“I feel like there’s some good eps in there (honestly it has one of my fav eps ever, ‘Journeycake’). S6, as others have said, is bad…but I found S7 to be nearly unwatchable except for at the end.”
A third commented: “I found s7 vastly better than s4 so there is light at the end of the tunnel.
A fourth offered: “I do love Jamie and Claire, more in the books, than the show. However, I really enjoy all of the other characters. I would be terribly bored, if it was all Jamie and Claire all the time.
“Season 7 was definitely a good one for LJG. We finally got the badass, sarcastic, wryly humorous, no f***s to give Lord John of the books. And it’s about damn time.”
A fifth posted: “I might be wrong (could be end of season 4) but that’s when the creator and his wife, the costume designer, left the show for their next production.
“Apparently the quality of the show took a huge hit. To be honest, I didn’t notice, I loved every season.”
