With season 5 of The Boys set to be the series finale, Antony Starr shares his hopes for the ending.
The Amazon Prime series, The Boys, took over the world in 2019 and has quickly become one of the most popular shows in recent years. With the fourth season having been released earlier this year, fans are looking forward to what the Antony Starr show can bring to its highly anticipated series finale, season 5. Apart from leaving fans on the edge of their seats, the recent season finale has also left even the Homelander actor wanting more.
Starr’s character might be getting a little more unhinged with each passing season. However, it looks like the 48-year-old has a rather simple request for the showrunner, Eric Kripke, regarding Supernatural’s Jensen Ackels and his beloved character.
Antony Starr’s hopes for The Boys season 5
With The Boys coming to an end with the fifth season, emotions seem to be running a little high. Although fans are rather distraught over the upcoming finale, it looks like the show’s star, Antony Starr, has come to terms with the series wrapping up. Shortly after the fourth season made its way to Amazon Prime, the actor spoke with Collider about his one wish for the series finale.
“I’m just gonna put those hopes out there, and maybe he’ll see this and grant me my wish.“
During the interview, the 48-year-old revealed, “I’m hoping and praying that I get more scenes with Jensen [Ackles] because we didn’t really. I feel like there’s more ground to cover there.” After all, with the two characters being father and son, there could be much deeper issues to resolve. However, he also admitted to having no idea what plans Eric Kripke had up his sleeve.
While that might be a duo fans would love to see more of, the fandom seems a little more focused on the fact that the series could give them a Supernatural reunion just before coming to an end. However, Starr had made sure to remain positive.

When The Boys made its way online in 2019, the future of the series was a little uncertain. However, as time went by, the fanbase kept multiplying and more hype was built around the show. With the news that the series was finally reaching its end post its fifth season, fans were left heartbroken and outraged but that was not the case for Antony Starr.
Although the show may have catapulted the actor to stardom, the 48-year-old revealed more about what he felt in the same interview with Collider,
“I feel good about where the show is at, I feel good about where it’s been, and I’m excited about where it’s going.”
With his character slowly losing all grip on his sanity, the star claimed that the popularity of the show was always a roll of the dice. Luckily for him, it seems to have worked in his favor.
While Starr claimed not to know what lay in store for the final season, he wound up admitting that he wanted to go out on a high note. From the looks of it, the actor might wind up getting exactly what he hopes for.
