Mayim Bialik series Call Me Kat is set to get another Big Bang Theory reunion in season 3 with the addition of a new co-showrunner.

The successful Fox sitcom has marked Bialik’s first major comedy role since The Big Bang Theory came to an end three years ago.

While the star’s fellow alum Jim Parsons acts as an executive producer on the new series, another reunion is in store next season, as Maria Ferrari comes on board to oversee the show alongside Two and a Half Men’s Jim Patterson (via Deadline).

Ferrari was an executive producer and writer on Big Bang Theory, and also takes similar roles on its spin-off Young Sheldon.

Ferrari and Patterson’s additions are the second major showrunner change for Call Me Kat, with the now-departing Alissa Neubauer previously replacing season one’s Darlene Hunt.

The series is based on the BBC’s Miranda, and follows Bialik’s Kat as she leaves her job as a university lecturer and uses her parents’ money set aside for her wedding to open a cat café in Louisville, Kentucky.

The show also stars Julian Gant (Real Steel), Swoosie Kurtz (Pushing Daisies), Kyla Pratt (Doctor Dolittle), Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story) and Leslie Jordan (Will & Grace).

As well as Big Bang Theory reunions, Call Me Kat has also given Bialik the chance to come back together with some of her Blossom co-stars, with season 2 featuring Joey Lawrence, Jenna Von Oy and Michael Stoyanov.

Call Me Kat airs on FOX. The Big Bang Theory aired on CBS in the US.
