Season five of Lucifer will see Mazikeen (played by Lesley-Ann Brandt) recover from a broken heart and Chloe Decker (Lauren German) will be on hand to help her move on. However, as the pair bond over their disastrous love lives, actress Lesley-Ann has hinted their friendship could end in disastrous circumstances as Maze learns she’s been betrayed by someone close to her in the Netflix drama.
Lucifer fans are eagerly waiting for the return of their favourite show as the drama has been plagued by bad luck.
After just three seasons, the drama was cancelled by Fox before being picked up by Netflix. The streaming giant renewed the drama for a further two seasons but the coronavirus pandemic forced filming to come to a halt.
While fans wait for news on when the series can resume filming, Maze star Lesley-Ann discussed the episodes that have already been filming for the upcoming seasons.
Entertainment Tonight’s Katie Krause quizzed Lesley-Ann on what fans can expect from Maze when the drama returns. The actress said: “She’s in a bit of denial, she’s heartbroken as we’ve all been there and she throws herself into work.
“You see her with Chloe a lot cause I think their stories are mirroring each other and they’re leaning into each other as girlfriends do.
“And as you guys know, Eve does eventually come back, there’s all kinds of drama.”
Despite this new friendship, Lesley-Ann reveals Maze will experience a huge betrayal, the consequences of which will last throughout season five.
Katie asked: “Is there a Maze moment you’re really excited for people to get to watch in the first half of season five?”
Lesley-Ann replied: “She deals with one of her big family, you know how people can carry round hurt from a family experience.
“She is confronted with having to deal with something that is the ultimate betrayal.

“You know I think she is at the end of this season, she makes a decision that’s best for her,” the actress replied.
“But she goes through break-up hurt, trying other things, she then has to confront the ex.
“In the end, she makes a decision that’s absolutely the best one for her and the character moving forward.”
