Dexter: Resurrection has been hugely popular with fans. Jack Alcott, who plays Harrison Morgan, the son of Michael C. Hall’s titular character, shared his thoughts about the threat on his character’s life.
Harrison appears as an adult in the new series after having been portrayed as a child in the flagship series. When asked if Charley’s threat on Harrison’s life was a foreshadowing, Alcott agreed with the sentiment. “I hadn’t thought about that, but I guess that’s very possible,” the actor told Deadline. “But at the same time, she got out of that pretty clean. She’d have to have a personal thing to want to hunt down Harrison, I guess.”
Alcott also shared his excitement about having a larger role in the Dexter: Resurrection Season 1 finale. “I was so excited,” he said. “I remember shooting it and going into all of the scenes at the gala and feeling like it’s a miniature secret agent movie. I’ve always wanted to do a little espionage. This is, father and son spy time. I got to navigate through the party with a secret earpiece, and the little kid in me is screaming and jumping around for joy. Every day on that set was a blast.”
“Now we’ve got this version of Harrison that is hopeful and all of a sudden, he has everything to lose. I almost don’t know what’s more compelling,” Alcott added. “You don’t mess with the guy who has nothing to lose, but you also don’t mess with the guy that has everything to lose.” Consisting of 10 episodes Dexter: Resurrection premiered on Paramount+ Premium on July 11, 2025. Developed by Clyde Phillips, it serves as a sequel series to Dexter: New Blood and Dexter.
