Marvel series Secret Invasion almost spelled the end of Samuel L Jackson.
His co-star Emilia Clarke, who plays G’iah (the daughter of Talos), came out with this surprising insight during a chat with Yahoo! Entertainment.
“I nearly ran him over,” she claimed, before explaining how a complex and “very old Russian car” was at fault.
“I got in and I was like, ‘Hey, what’s with the six [shift knobs] up in here? Which one am I using? Why does it have 10 pedals?’ It’s [like] a tractor… I know how to drive. I know how to drive stick. [But there wasn’t] enough time.
“They’re saying, ‘We’ve gotta go. We’re shooting. Come on honey. Just go. We’re gonna go.’ So I’m like, ‘OK, I can do this. It’s just one stop,'” the Game of Thrones actress added.
“Get in there. We get up to it. The camera is right there. Sam is right there. And I pressed the wrong thing, I pressed the accelerator rather than the brake.”
Fortunately for Nick Fury legend Jackson, Clarke located the brake pedal in the nick of time.
“He was very gentlemanly and lovely and nice,” she said. “Then I cried a little bit and someone else drove it for me.”
Previously, the star weighed in on how G’iah has hardened after growing up as a child of war.
“There’s a kind of punk feeling that you get from this girl. She’s a refugee kid who’s had Talos for a dad, you know what I mean? Maybe the fact that we didn’t know he had a kid up until this point tells you everything you need to know about their relationship.”
