The third episode of The CW’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event featured a guest appearance by none other than Lucifer star Tom Ellis. Now, an official photo from set the episode features a behind-the-scenes look at Ellis’ Arrowverse debut.

The photo in question sees Ellis alongside Matt Ryan, Katherine McNamara and David Ramsey — who play John Constantine, Mia Smoak and John Diggle, respectively.

In “Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part 3,” Constantine, Mia and Diggle pay a visit to Ellis’ Lucifer Morningstar, who — fittingly — resides on Earth-666. Constantine explains that they need help getting to Purgatory, so as to track down the sole of one recently-departed Oliver Queen. It is implied that the Devil and the Hellblazer have a history, with the latter evidently calling in a favor that pertains to Maze — Lucifer’s best friend and former lover. Ellis later confirmed that his “Crisis” cameo takes place in five-year period preceding Lucifer‘s first season, when most of the titular fallen angel’s time was spent managing his Lux nightclub in Los Angeles.

Rumors of Ellis reprising his role as Lucifer Morningstar for the highly-anticipated Arrowverse crossover first surfaced back in October. While the actor initially denied this, Lucifer did ultimately appear. Ellis later apologized for lying to the fans, explaining that he was trying to keep the element of surprise intact following the original leak. Meanwhile, Lucifer is currently gearing up for its fifth and final season on Netflix, which is slated to premiere sometime next year.

Crisis on Infinite Earths” will return after the winter hiatus. The crossover will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in Arrow at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Helmed by Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich, Lucifer’s fourth season stars Tom Ellis as the Devil, Lauren German as Det. Chloe Decker, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, Kevin Alejandro as Det. Dan Espinoza, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen Smith, Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez. The show’s fifth and final season is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2020 and will be split into two parts.
