We may only be a few days into the new year, but we’ve already had some great TV courtesy of Money Heist: Berlin which was released on Netflix just at the end of 2023. The eight-part series is a prequel to the original Money Heist series and focusses on the life and crimes of Berlin played by Pedro Alonso.

From shoot outs to tactical robbery plans, it’s been an explosive season and we’re already quite frankly greedy for more. But is there going to be a second season of Money Heist: Berlin? Here’s what we know so far.

Is there going to be a Money Heist: Berlin season 2?
As of yet there’s been no official confirmation from Netflix we’ll be seeing Berlin and his gang return for season two. However, this isn’t to suggest we should give up hope entirely, as Netflix often waits to see the public reaction to a series before green-lighting the next season.

The first series was first announced at the end of 2021 and then released at the very end of 2023, so if we were to see another season of Money Heist: Berlin its likely it wouldn’t be for another two years.

Who would be in the cast of Money Heist: Berlin season 2?
As Netflix is yet to confirm another season we can’t say for sure who would return, however if a second season were to happen we really couldn’t see the series continuing without these main cast members:

  • Pedro Alonoso as Berlin
  • Tristán Ulloa as Damián
  • Michelle Jenner as Keila
  • Begoña Vargas as Cameron
  • Julio Peña Fernández as Roi
  • Joel Sánchez as Bruce
  • Maria Isabel “Masi” Rodríguez as Susi
  • One person we’re not sure would be returning is Samantha Siqueiros as Camille, as during the final episode of season one she is seen riding off into the sunset, in the search of a new life. However, it’s still possible she could surprise us all and make a comeback.

What could happen in Money Heist: Berlin season 2?
Though it hasn’t officially been confirmed a second season of Money Heist: Berlin is on the way, we can still make an educated guess about what a second season could feature.

As seen in the final episode of season one, Berlin and Damián are plotting another robbery for the near future. It’s possible the next season could show us their plans unfolding for this robbery. Or another season could potentially bring us closer to the timeline of the original Money Heist show.

Either way, we’re desperate for another season. Netflix if you’re reading this, please just hurry up and announce it.
