Just like the Straw Hats’ journey to find the One Piece, the wait for Season 2 has felt like an eternity… but Netflix has finally unveiled a first look at One Piece Season 2. A newly released set photo confirms that production has officially wrapped, fueling speculation about when the new season will arrive. While One Piece was absent from Netflix’s 2025 release slate, the possibility of a late-year premiere remains, though a 2026 debut now seems more likely.
The photo shared by Netflix features Iñaki Godoy’s (The Imperfects) Monkey D. Luffy standing alongside Sanji, Zoro, Nami, and Usopp, portrayed by Taz Skylar (Gassed Up), Mackenyu (Knights of the Zodiac), Emily Rudd (the Fear Street series), and Jacob Romero Gibson (Greenleaf), respectively. The group appears in Loguetown, a key location in the One Piece storyline. Luffy exudes excitement in the image, while the rest of the crew displays a mix of determination and neutrality, setting the stage for the next chapter in their journey.

“Straw Hats, our course is set!” wrote the streamer via X/Twitter. “Season 2 production has officially wrapped, and the Grand Line is fast approaching! Destiny awaits, are you ready to answer the call?”
The image in question saw our central quintet – Sanji (Taz Skylar), Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), Monkey D Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), Nami (Emily Rudd) and Usopp (Jacob Gibson) – all posing in front of a monument, with several fans remarking on the first-look.
“THE SET??? THE COSTUMES???? MY FAVES!!! I’m SO READY!!” wrote one excited fan, with the official account responding: “We’re about to set sail on an adventure like never before, Nakama!”
“I haven’t watched the anime or read the manga (I would if I had the time), but season 1 of Netflix’s One Piece really hit a chord for me,” added a second fan. “I am SO ready for what’s next! The characters were all incredibly charming, and the cast chemistry was unlike anything I’ve seen in ages.”
As there is still no release date for the second season, fans will still have to wait for their first glimpse of new addition Joe Manganiello as Mr 0, the villainous head of criminal organisation Baroque Works.
The star, who had previously appeared in the Spider-Man and Magic Mike franchises, spoke of his excitement at joining the show, saying: “To be trusted with one of the greatest characters ever in manga and fantasy… I’ve been waiting for a character like this my entire career.”
