Outlander stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan have revealed the things they will take from the set once the series ends. Outlander is currently halfway through its seventh season and it is set to end after its eighth.
Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, who star opposite each other and husband and wife Jamie and Claire, have been speaking about the end of the beloved series and what he plans to take from the set after the show’s ten-year run.
In an interview with Good Morning America while promoting the seventh season of Outlander, he was quick to answer when asked what he was going to take home with him. He revealed: “I love all of Jamie’s weapons but I love his boots.
“His boots are like the thing that, I feel like Jamie once I’ve put them on.”
He then asked his co-star what she plans to take with her as a remembrance of her time on the show. She confirmed that she would probably take her corset with her.
Balfe and Heughan have grown close and become good friends during their time working together on Outlander. In an interview with EW, Heighan revealed: “We just started chatting in the [chemistry] test before we started the audition, and we just seemed to get on.
“Her humor is fantastic. She’s great fun to work with. She’s very hardworking, a wonderful actress, very natural.”
Heughan, who was turned down for Game of Thrones numerous times before landing his role in Outlander, apparently knows how the series ends while Balfe is in the dark about it.
“He smugly holds it over me all the time,” she joked. “To be honest, I actually like not knowing.”
Fans are currently eagerly awaiting the second half of season seven of the show. Meanwhile, details of the prequel series have been revealed.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood will follow the parallel love stories of both Jamie’s and Claire’s parents. It will star Harriet Slater, Jamie Roy, Hermione Corfield, and Jeremy Irvine.
