Outlander Season 7 Potential Release Date
According to Digital Spy, Maril Davis has shared a new update with fans about the progress being made on season seven. While speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Davis stated that he wasn’t quite so certain on when the new season might hit our screens. “I actually don’t know!” she said when asked when we can expect to see the next season. “I haven’t been told when we will be airing season seven, all I know is we are at the beginning of shooting it now, and that’s all I can say. Further adding, “I think we are on a fairly typical schedule but it is a supersized season.”

Moreover, Maril Davis confirmed, during an exclusive interview with Digital Spy, that they had started shooting for Season 7 in May 2022. While she remained coy about when it may hit our screens, Davis noted that they were on “a fairly typical schedule” while also pointing out that it’s set to be a much grander season than the last one. Furthermore, according to Deadline, the seventh season of Outlander is probably going to debut sometime in late 2022 or early 2023, which is a comparable time range for some of the show’s earlier seasons.

So, if all goes well we might be treated with Outlander Season 7 as soon as New Year begins. However, this is a mere guess and we will have to wait to hear from the makers to finally find out when will the much-loved series be back on screen. But for now, let’s just say the wait might not have to be a very long one, at least, if we are treated with some BTS stills and videos till the release date gets officially announced.

Izzy Meikle-Small and Joey Phillips have joined the cast of Starz‘s Outlander for Season 7. The pair will play brother and sister Rachel Hunter and Dr. Denzell Hunter, respectively. Rachel and Denzell are Quakers whose quiet country life is changed when Young Ian arrives at their farm with a sick and injured William Ransom.

According to Deadline, “We’re excited to welcome Izzy and Joey to the Outlander family and can’t wait for fans to see how these two fantastic actors bring Rachel and Denzell to life,” Matthew B. Roberts, showrunner, writer, and executive producer, said in an exclusive statement.

Where is Outlander Season 7 being filmed?
Outlander is filmed in Scotland, which doubles for North Carolina. In addition, Outlander Season 7 will have 16 episodes to make up for Season 6’s eight-episode cut owing to COVID-19 and Balfe’s pregnancy.

Are there any Outlander Season 7 spoilers?
Not much information about the upcoming season has been leaked by any sources but during Josh Horowitz’s ‎Happy Sad Confused podcast, Caitriona Balfe highlights that it’s going to be “difficult” to film Outlander Season 7 according to the two scripts Balfe got in late 2021. She expressed her views stating, “At 3.30 this morning when I was feeding my son, I got an email with the first two scripts and I started reading the first episode, then my eyes were getting crossed so I’ll have to look at that another time!”

Further adding, “The first two eps are in my inbox so it’s exciting, we’re gearing up to get back on it. It’ll be a tough one, we’ll be shooting for a whole year. So, in the words of Dougal McKenzie, we’re going to gird our loins.” She also quipped about how Heughan will handle Season 7’s yearlong shoot. “Sam’ll probably be on his seventh almanac at that point. He’s an Energizer bunny… I’m like, ‘Where do you get your energy from, and please send some this way!’”

When available to stream, Outlander Season 7, along with all the previous seasons, will be available to stream on STARZ and the STARZ app, with new episodes, most likely premiering on Sunday nights. Outlander Season 6: What happened in the finale episode?
According to reports, Outlander Season 7 would be based on Diana Gabaldon’s novel series Echo in the Bone. Diana Gabaldon’s website offers the following description of the book which states, “Set in America, London, Canada, and Scotland. This book has four significant storylines: Jamie and Claire; Roger and Brianna (and family); Lord John and William; and Young Ian, all intersecting in the nexus of the American Revolution and all of them with sharp points.”

However, the upcoming season is also expected to pick up from the finale episode of the 6th season which is the 8th episode, I Am Not Alone, released on May 1, 2022. The episode was directed by Jamie Payne and written by Luke Schelhaas. The episode has a runtime of 63 minutes.

The official synopsis of the episode states, “Richard Brown and his Committee of Safety arrive to arrest Claire for murder. However, due to the rising political tensions in the colonies, Brown’s plan to find a judge for a trial does not…” The sixth season of “Outlander” sees a continuation of Claire and Jamie’s fight to protect those they love, as they navigate the trials and tribulations of life in colonial America.
