Ahead of the season seven premiere, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe reunited with a fun game to test their Outlander knowledge.
As fans eagerly await Outlander’s return to Starz, many were pleasantly surprised to see the show’s leading stars quiz each other about the show. Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe reunited to play a game of Catchphrase, which sparked a major frenzy among viewers.
Caitriona and Sam both had 30 seconds to get as many possible correct answers.
This sparked a major frenzy among excited fans, who played along and were thrilled to see the duo together.
The video was shared on Outlander’s official Instagram account and viewers rushed to the comments with admiration.
@kevrosefarm remarked: “Watching these two do anything together is an instant serotonin surge.”
A pleased @sassenachhistorian commented: “This is the best birthday present I could’ve ever hoped for today.”
@nora.boustany added: “I love these two and their réparti, connection, chemistry and the current that runs between them!”
A third fan@clarissalunday joked: “We know whose watched the series and read the books it’s clearly not Sam (sorry @samheughan…still love you).”
After Caitriona won the game, @Jodyd1127 suggested: “I think she won bc he was better with his descriptions.”

Thankfully for fans, Claire (played by Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) will soon be back on screens as season seven will premiere later this year.
The last time Outlander fans saw Claire and Jamie Fraser on screens was during the gripping season six finale in May 2022.
The couple had been brutally separated but Jamie was able to break free and was seemingly on his way to Wilmington to rescue his wife.
Although their onscreen reunion has yet to be seen, the stars spent time together and quizzed each other on Outlander knowledge.
They played a fun game of Catchphrase to test one another and everything between Scottish Gaelic lingo, other cast members and time-travelling supplies.
However, Claire’s fate is yet to be determined as she was wrongly accused of murdering Malva Christie (Jessica Reynolds) and was being transported to Wilmington prison for trial.
It is very likely Claire will be punished to death if found guilty, but fans have high hopes for Jamie rescuing his wife.
There will also be more trouble ahead for the Frasers as they were on the verge of the Revolutionary War.
Although they tried to settle and have a peaceful life in 19th-century North Carolina, their hopes were completely dashed.
While Claire and Jamie found themselves in serious danger with their neighbours against them, their family were spread across the land.
Though Young Ian Murray (John Bell) was able to eventually find Jamie, Brianna Fraser (Sophie Skelton) and Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin) had no idea of the disaster waiting for them on Fraser’s Ridge.
