Peaky Blinders season 6 spoilers follow.
Peaky Blinders has released all-new images teasing a first look at episode 4, after the devastating twist at the end of the third episode.
In the latest episode of the BBC drama, which aired on Sunday (March 13), Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) was faced with the trauma of losing his daughter Ruby after her death at the end of the episode.
Filled with grief, the ever-unpredictable Shelby leader could be capable of anything after this momentous loss, and now the first look at what Tommy does next has been teased as new photos hint at an unlikely union between him and Michael’s wife Gina (Anya Taylor-Joy).
The duo have had a less than friendly relationship so far in the series, so it will be interesting to see how this alliance is formed – and, most importantly, for what purpose?
Meanwhile, another image from the episode appears to show Tommy in the middle of a stand-off with newcomer Hayden Stagg, played by Line of Duty’s Stephen Graham.
The official synopsis of the fourth episode, titled ‘Saphhire’, also promises that it is set to be a “life-changing” episode for Tommy, reading: “Tommy establishes a connection between crime and political power that could alter the course of history.
“He also receives life-changing news from an unexpected source.”
There’s no doubt that the final season is set to be explosive.
Recently, Amber Anderson – who plays Diana Mitford, fiancée of the fascist party leader, Oswald Mosely (Sam Claflin) – revealed to Digital Spy that her character will “shock” people in upcoming episodes.
“She’s so shocking and kind of disruptive to the storyline,” she said, “I don’t know how people would have put up with her for longer than a season!”
Anderson also admitted she didn’t “align” with the character as “she is definitely an antagonist” in the story.
Alongside the surprising death of Ruby Shelby, the final season has already experienced another gigantic loss within the Shelby family with the passing of Aunt Polly.
In the opening episode of the new season, the show paid poignant tribute to the late Aunt Polly actress Helen McCrory who died in 2021.
Peaky Blinders series 6 airs on Sundays.
