‘Stranger Things’ may have just hinted at a possible line for season four in a spin-off comic book.
We already know that Netflix’s sci-fi drama will be returning for a fourth season with the guys and gals at Hawkins, Indiana, although its release has been pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.
So, while it may be a little while longer until we find out what everyone’s been up to, a comic book spin-off to the original series may have just dropped a hint that Steve (Joe Keery), Robin (Maya Hawke), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Erica (Priah Ferguson) could find themselves involved in the same plot-line.
In the strip, the foursome are united when Erica decides to start a little side business selling a dangerous-looking green acid that she smuggled out of the Russian lab underneath Hawkins’ mall in the season three finale.
Dustin realises what she’s trying to do, however, and gathers Steve and Robin in an effort to stop her, because of cause a glowing, green Russian acid is never good news for anybody.
It turns out that Erica wasn’t trying to become some kind of black market Avon lady, but simply trying to raise the funds necessary to buy a new Dungeons and Dragons set.
Which, of course, we understand, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
The good news is that it’s all cleared up by the end of the comic, which ends in the four friends playing the board game, with Erica re-instated as the Dungeon Master.
This may not look so serious to you, but for us it indicates that we could certainly see Steve, Erica, Dustin and Robin together a lot more in season four, and we wouldn’t be mad at that at all.
Also, we wonder is the green acid in question is actually the mysterious glowing liquid we saw the Russians in possession of in season three, and a Stranger Things Fortnite special even hinted that this could be an important plot point going forward.
