Jared Padalecki has hinted at reuniting with his Supernatural colleagues on The Boys.

Eric Kripke, who worked with Padalecki on Supernatural, has openly expressed his desire for the actor to join The Boys’ final season.

And Padalecki is more than up for it.

“The answer is yes,” he told Deadline. “We have talked [about a role]. As a matter of fact, we talked today,” he said. “I think at this point in my acting life, I only want to work on projects that I really care about or with people that I really care about, and obviously Eric and I are indelibly connected forever.”

He continued, referencing the pair’s history together: “I mean, he created Supernatural. He created Sam Winchester. He created Ruby [Genevieve Padalecki], who I ended up marrying and starting a family with.”

Padalecki may not be the only Winchester set to appear on the show’s final season. His Supernatural brother Jensen Ackles recently starred in the third season as villain Soldier Boy, while also appearing in the spinoff series Gen V.

Could the TV brothers reunite with a cameo in season five?

Season four of The Boys was released this June on Amazon Prime Video, and Padalecki shared that season 5 will likely begin filming next year, giving Kripke plenty of time to get the band back together.

Until then, Padalecki will be patiently waiting for Kripke’s call: “I adore him. I adore his humour. I adore him as a person, his storytelling. So I can’t wait. I don’t think [Season 5] films until next year, but I will be ready when he makes the phone call. I’ll just say ‘Okay, when am I flying out?'”
