Mayim Bialik, who starred as Amy on The Big Bang Theory, has got rid of her long brown locks and unveiled a shorter do on Instagram.
Bialik, now at the helm of US quiz show Jeopardy!, took to her social channels last week to share a selfie, officially debuting her long pixie cut.
“Sometimes the best lighting just happens to be in the bathroom,” she wrote in the caption, adding: “New hair!”

Bialik’s Big Bang Theory co-star Kunal Nayyar, who played Raj, loved the change of look, commenting: “Beauty!”
Fans also supported the new haircut, with one person writing: “I wish I could pull off short hair like you do. You simply are stunning.”
Meanwhile, another agreed on the selfie location choice, sharing: “Looks great! Bathroom have the best lighting and acoustics.”
Some were a little confused by Bialik’s hair transformation as she normally wears longer hair to play the titular cat café owner in Fox comedy Call Me Kat, which she also executive produces.
There’s an easy explanation for such quick change as the actress often relies on extensions, allowing her to transition from long to short hair without much hassle.
Earlier this year, Call Me Kat paid tribute to late star Leslie Jordan after the veteran comic died in October 2022. Bialik addressed the creative decision to not write Jordan’s death into the story and have his character, head baker Phil, go on holiday and have a happy ending instead.
“We found a way for him to live forever. His character will live forever, and he can have whatever adventures we all imagine,” Bialik told Entertainment Weekly in January.
Following Phil’s exit, 30 Rock star Jack McBrayer joined the show as new baker Gideon.
Call Me Kat airs on Fox in the US.
