Despite the divorce, they do their best to raise their daughter together in a chaotic world with villainous superheroes, no matter how difficult it is. Rob Benedict is a world-recognized American actor who appeared prominently in Supernatural as Chuck Shurley, the prophet and writer who authored The Winchester Gospels. In later seasons, Chuck is revealed to be God, who made the Winchesters’ lives hell because they were going against his plans.
In The Boys, Chuck isn’t an all-powerful being, but he does have a power. He plays the weird supe, Splinter, a Firecracker super-fan who can split into duplicates of himself. The downside of his power is that he has to be naked to do it. His character does some questionable things in The Boys Season 4, which lead to his death and those of his clones at the hands of the boys.
Gattlin Griffith portrays a Young Gunpowder in The Boys
Griffith Plays Jesse Turner, the Antichrist in Supernatural

In The Boys Universe, Griffith appears in Season 3, “Barbary Coast,” as a young Gunpowder. During the flashback scene, young Gunpowder shoots eagerly at soldiers alongside Soldier Boy during the Nicaragua battle. According to Butcher, Soldier Boy sexually abused Gunpowder during his time on the Payback team.
Alexander Calvert plays Rufus in The Boys Spinoff Show, Gen V
Rufus Plays Jack in Supernatural
Canadian actor Alexander Calvert plays the role of Jack Kline in Supernatural. He is Lucifer’s son, one of the few Nephilim mentioned on the show. Although he is naturally evil, Sam and Dean Winchester take him in and teach him how to master his powers. Jack looks up to Castiel as his father, and the Winchesters use him to steal God’s powers, leaving Chuck to live his life as a mere mortal.
In The Boys Universe, Calvert plays Rufus in the spinoff show, Gen V. He is a young supe with telepathic abilities that he uses to drug and assault young women at Godolkin University. He has super hearing and durability that allows him to survive a brutal assault from Jordan Li in Gen V Season 1, Episode 4, “Cocksplosion.”
Christian Keyes Plays A-Train’s Brother, Nathan Franklin
Keyes Appears as Archangel Michael in Supernatural
It’s hard to forget Christian Keyes’ appearance in Supernatural because he plays the intimidating archangel Michael. He first appears in Supernatural Season 13. He conquered an apocalyptic parallel universe, and has come to subjugate the Winchesters’ timeline.
In The Boys, Keyes plays A-Train’s brother and former personal trainer, Nathan Franklin. When A-Train keeps abusing Compound V and kills Blue Hawk instead of holding him accountable, it strains their relationship. In The Boys Season 4, Franklin stops A-Train from spending time with his nephews because he doesn’t want them to turn out like his brother.
Nathan Mitchell Revives Black Noir in The Boys
Mitchell Plays Kelvin the Angel in Supernatural
Before joining Vought, Nathan Mitchell played an angel in Supernatural Season 12, Episode 15, “Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell.” He only appears in two episodes of the show but is one of the kinder and more reasonable angels who support Castiel.
Mitchell is part of The Boy’s main cast, debuting in The Boys Season 4 as The Seven hero, Black Noir. While fans haven’t seen his face yet, the actual Black Noir died in The Boys Season 3 after viewers get a glimpse into his tragic past. And with how much Mitchell’s character can’t stop talking, it’s only a matter of time before the public realizes it.
Jim Beaver as Robert Singer in Supernatural and The Boys
Beaver Plays Robert “Bobby” Singer in Supernatural
In Supernatural, Beaver plays the hunter Bobby, a father figure to the Winchester boys. The Winchesters constantly need guidance after the loss of their father, John. Bobby has a recurring role in the show even after his character’s final death, coming back as a ghost to help the Winchesters in their fight against evil.
It’s hard to miss Jim Beaver when he appears as the Secretary of Defense in The Boys Season 1, Episode 8, “You Found Me,” as Robert Singer— his name nodding to his Supernatural character. Singer returns in The Boys Season 4 as the president-elect who wants to eliminate supes infiltrating the army and the country’s security agencies. Singer has a difficult job because, unbeknownst to him, his vice president is a head-popping Supe.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan Plays Joe Kessler in The Boys
Morgan is John Winchester in Supernatural
John Winchester made his debut in The Boys Season 4 as Joe Kessler, Butcher’s long -time friend who helps him try to accomplish his late wife’s dying wish as Butcher deals with a brain tumor that’s only given him a few months to live. Kessler pushes Butcher to the extremes, and it’s revealed that he is just a figment of Butcher’s imagination, like Becca.
In Supernatural, Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays Sam and Dean’s father, John. John isn’t the most affectionate parent. He raises the two boys alone while traveling across the states, killing demons and monsters. Although he dies saving Dean in earlier seasons, he makes several guest appearances in the series throughout its 15-season run.
Finally, Jensen Ackles Plays the Villain Soldier Boy in The Boys
Ackles is Dean Winchester in Supernatural
Probably one of the most prominent Supernatural stars to join The Boys’ main cast is Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy. In Supernatural, Ackles plays Dean Winchester, a no-nonsense but overprotective monster hunter who will go to hell and back to save his brother and those he loves. The fan-favorite character dies a meaningless death in the finale, so fans were excited to see him again in another Kripke production.
Ackles tastefully plays the villain supe Soldier Boy in The Boys. The character hates Vought, who kept him captive for decades. He resents his son, Homelander, who took his place as the top Supe in the world. Although Soldier Boy is nearly as strong as the leader of The Seven, Homelander can also fly and has x-ray vision. While Queen Maeve thwarts Soldier Boy’s attempt to get rid of Homelander, Soldier Boy doesn’t die, so fans could still see him in The Boys’ fifth and final season. All that’s left is for Jared Padalecki to join The Boys, and the Winchesters will be reunited again.
