Just two days before the new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 4 Reloaded is released, it has been announced that three iconic characters from The Boys will be available as character skins with personalized bundles.

The Boys’ official account released a trailer on Twitter showing that co-captains of The Seven, Starlight and Homelander, and Black Noir will be included in the upcoming Call of Duty update. The Prime Video break-out show is the latest pop culture property to collaborate with the popular shooter franchise.

In recent years, Call of Duty has released several operator bundles, available at the in-game store for around $20 (2,400 COD points), that bring in characters from popular media. Some of these bundles let the player dress up as Ghostface from Scream, become Godzilla, or inherit the Armored Titan from Attack On Titan. Now, users will be able to play as Starlight, Homelander, and Black Noir.

The trailer, which is made to look like a Vought International press conference, features Black Noir answering reporters’ questions about the collaboration. Noir nods to confirm that he and the two other Supes will appear in the COD update. The trailer also references the tension between Starlight and Homelander at the end of Season 4. and confirms that Black Noir’s blades have “made the cut” for the game. The trailer is punctuated by a joke in which a reporter asks Black Noir what his “KD” (kill-death ratio) is.

The operator bundles in Call of Duty will feature three unique blueprints for each character. Starlight’s will include the “Des Moines Defender” Assault Rifle blueprint, Homelander’s has the Pro-Tuned “Superiority Complex” SMG, and “Black Noir’s Blades” will be available as a melee weapon. Each supe’s operator pack will also have two additional blueprints, and a finishing move that matches the character’s powers.

The Boys Throws Supes Into the World of Call of Duty

The Boys is a dark and gritty series that tackles what superheroes would be like in the real world. The show follows Hughie Campbell, played by Jack Quaid (who voices another hero, Superman, in a new animated series), as he discovers that Supes are not what they seem to be. In the show, Vought International is the mega-corporation responsible for managing and directing Supes across the globe, and their super-team, The Seven, is supposed to be a beacon of hope for humanity. In reality, Vought is incredibly corrupt, and The Seven are led by superpowered megalomaniac Homelander. Hughie, Billy the Butcher, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie make up The Boys as they seek to take down Vought and its Supes.

The three Supes will answer the Call of Duty on July 12th. In the meantime, The Boys’ seasons 1-4 are available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
