The Boys creator Eric Kripke has let drop a first look at the story details for the first episode of season 4.

Taking to social media, the showrunner revealed a look at the front page of the script for the opening episode of the new series.

The script is titled ‘The Boys, Episode #401’ and shows a key piece of information about the season premiere – the episode name.

Fans now know that the new season will kick off with an episode titled ‘Department of Dirty Tricks’, though this doesn’t give much away at all.

Alongside the image of the script, Kripke captioned the post “Day One” confirming that series four is already in production.

Karl Urban previously revealed that filming would begin on August 22, following Amazon Prime Video’s confirmation that the new season would be going ahead

In an interview with Collider, the Billy Butcher actor said he was looking forward to reprising his role.

“We’re going to be starting season four,” he revealed. “So I’m getting back, getting my Butcher back on, and I can’t wait. It’s a fun gang to play with, we work hard and play hard, and I can’t wait to see where they take the characters from where we leave them at the end of this season.”

Kripke also spoke about his delight at the chance to explore the world of The Boys even further.

“Speaking for the cast and crew, we’re so grateful to Sony, Amazon and, most of all, the fans for embracing the show and allowing us to make more. We’re thrilled to continue Butcher and the Boys’ fight against Homelander and the Seven, as well as comment on the insane world we’re living in.”
