The Netflix series is due to wrap up its run this year after four seasons – and fans will no doubt be excited to see the Hargreeves siblings back together in a first image.

Posting the snap on X (formerly Twitter), The Umbrella Academy’s official account wrote: “Getting the fam back together one last time. here’s ur first look at season four see u soon…”.

The preview comes after the show teased a “final timeline” back in November – namely a subway-styled map of timelines ranging from 1953 to 2019, as well as events occurring in “unknown” years.

“Get ready for the final timeline. The Umbrella Academy Season 4 is coming 2024,” the show’s account wrote at the time.

The final season of the show is set to get a few new additions, including Parks and Recreation’s Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally in the roles of community college doctors Gene and Jean Thibedeau, as well as Arrested Development’s David Cross as business owner Sy Grossman.

The show itself was confirmed to be ending in August 2022 following the release of season three.

“I’m so excited that the incredibly loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy will be able to experience the fitting end to the Hargreeves siblings’ journey we began five years ago,” showrunner Steve Blackman said at the time.

“But before we get to that conclusion, we’ve got an amazing story ahead for season four, one that will have fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes.”
