The CW has unveiled a host of upcoming finale dates for its shows, including The Flash, Walker and Superman & Lois.
As part of its slate over the next few months, the channel revealed that The Flash’s current eighth season will conclude on Wednesday, June 29, with Walker wrapping up its second run nearly a week beforehand on Thursday, June 23.
A few days before that, Superman & Lois will conclude its second season on Tuesday, June 21. Other notable finales announced include Legacies season 4 on Thursday, May 26, and Charmed season 4 on Friday, June 10.
Riverdale’s sixth season, meanwhile, is slated to air its finale on Sunday, July 31, though that may be subject to change.
The news comes a few weeks after The CW revealed the futures of several of its shows, confirming that The Flash, Walker, Riverdale and Superman & Lois will all be returning for more seasons.
That means The Flash will return for season 9, Riverdale for season 7, and Superman & Lois and Walker both for season 3.
Meanwhile, The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace recently admitted that season 8 was written with the possibility in mind that it may be the last (before it was eventually renewed).
“I’ve known what the ending was for a few years now,” he revealed to Entertainment Weekly. “We’re coming to the end of a three-year master plan that I’ve had with the show at seasons 6, 7, and 8.
“But the actual ending-ending, I have to write two endings, because I don’t know what the future holds. I know what I’m hoping for. I’m very hopeful there is a season 9, but I have to make sure I have closure on all of the character arcs depending on which way it goes.
“But then I also have to film a tag or a teaser that potentially sets up another year. So it’s a challenge, but it’s one that we love doing as writers. It’s made it even more interesting and more intense, but I think it’s going to be worth it.”
