You spoilers follow.
You has finally hinted at the upcoming season’s biggest mystery, revealing Joe Goldberg’s whereabouts prior to his London adventure.
Netflix’s psychological thriller from creators Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti will debut a fourth season in two instalments, to be released in February and March 2023.
Penn Badgley returns in the role of psychopathic bookseller-turned-killer Joe, now taking on a new alias as he’s left murder and lies in his trail. In the new chapter, Joe relocates to the UK after faking his death in California.
Now known as Jonathan Moore, a college professor, Joe will try to reconnect with his season 3 love obsession Marienne Bellamy (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s Tati Gabrielle).
With Joe in England, it wasn’t clear how he’d try to reconnect with Marienne, who moved to France with her daughter at the end of the last chapter. Until now.
Netflix has released a poster seeing Joe spying on a very wary Marienne, who looks over her shoulder, while the Eiffel Tower can be seen in the background.
Season 4 already confirmed Joe (or should we say Jonathan now?) has a new love interest in Ghosts’ Charlotte Ritchie’s Kate, so it will be interesting to see how he will split up his time between the UK and France to potentially win back Marienne, or worse. We’re anticipating many a Eurostar journey.
Alongside Badgley, Gabrielle and Ritchie, the new season also features The White Lotus’ Lukas Gage, EastEnders’ Tilly Keeper, Adam James, Ed Speleers, Amy Leigh-Hickman, Sean Pertwee, Brad Alexander, Stephen Hagan, Aidan Cheng, Ben Wiggins and Ozioma Whenu.
You seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix. Season 4 part 1 will debut on the platform on February 9, 2023, with part 2 following on March 9.
