Agents of SHIELD and Book of Boba Fett star Ming-Na Wen has confirmed she’s set to be the latest guest star to appear on Young Sheldon.

Most recently known for her role as Fennec Shand in Boba Fett, the actor also previously starred in the Disney+ Star Wars series, The Mandalorian.

She joins a decorated line of Star Wars actors who have appeared in the Big Bang Theory universe too, including the likes of Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and James Earl Jones.

In a Twitter post announcing the news, Wen wrote: “And now, for something completely different! I’m happy to finally be able to announce that I’ll be guest-starring on @YoungSheldon as ‘Dr. Carol Lee.’ Find out what happens when she meets Sheldon and the gang!”

She also linked to a TV Insider exclusive story, which announced the news and confirmed the star will appear in an episode titled ‘A Free Scratcher and Feminine Wiles’. The episode will air on February 24 on CBS in the US.

Wen’s character is named Dr Carol Lee, the director of experiment cosmology, who crosses paths with a strong-minded 11-year-old Sheldon Cooper.

“I was really looking forward to it because I try to infuse as much comedy into all my characters as possible, even with Fennec,” Wen explained.

“I love it when the fans are telling me that they’re laughing at this line or the relationship that I have with Boba. It just makes the character so much more interesting.”

Although Wen is best known for her sci-fi roles, this is not the first sitcom she has starred in. You might have seen her in Pretty Smart, Fresh Off the Boat, Two and a Half Men and more.
