The brains behind Outlander dropped some bombshells about the show’s grand finale on the Starz network, reports the Scottish Daily Express.

Matthew B. Roberts, Outlander’s boss, disclosed: “We filmed multiple endings. It was important that it not get out what we were doing.

“We were very careful. I knew it would be very emotional. I would say, probably four that went out into the world.”

Outlander joins a list of shows like Sex and the City and The White Lotus, playing it close to the chest to keep finale details hush-hush, steering clear of any leaks or spoilers.

Although there was talk that Game of Thrones had shot several final scenes, Maisie Williams, who played Arya Stark, seemed to knock that rumor down as the series did grapple with leaks and unintended spoilers.

Chiming in about the Outlander finale, creatives Maril Davis, Mike Gunn, and Trisha Biggar dropped a couple of hints without spilling the beans.

Speaking to Indiewire, Davis spilled, saying: “Emotional, heartbreak, tears,” and Roberts put it plainly with “satisfying”.

Devotees of the show are itching to crack the case of Jamie Fraser’s (Sam Heughan) ghostly figure, an enduring riddle from the jump when he appeared peering at Claire (Caitríona Balfe) in ’40s Inverness.

The Outlander team also confirmed one whopper of a twist for season seven, unveiling that Fatih Fraser is indeed alive.

The cast was just as stunned as fans by the massive twist, admitting that “everyone in the cast” was gobsmacked by the development.

They’ve assured viewers that all will come to light in season eight, with mysteries finally becoming unraveled.

Outlander’s creator, Diana Gabaldon, has hinted at an alternate timeline for the show, where Master Raymond (Dominique Pinon) takes dramatic steps to save Faith and changes her destiny.

Speculation is rife about how the series will handle this shift, especially since it has veered away from Gabaldon’s books and the conclusion of her last Outlander novel, A Blessing For A Warrior Going Out, will differ from the show.

Both the series on screen and the novels on page are gearing up to present their unique versions of Jamie’s ghosts, aiming to enthrall both audiences and readers.

While the release date for season eight is still under wraps, fans eagerly awaiting more can dive into the prequel, Outlander: Blood of My Blood.

This grand romantic saga takes a deep dive into the past, exploring how Jamie and Claire Fraser’s parents—Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy)—found love in 17th century Scotland, and the tender wartime romance between Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) during World War One.

Starz has raised anticipations with a teaser video featuring Blood of My Blood’s main actors, hinting at a flurry of theories following the show’s first episode.

In a brief video shared on the Outlander Reddit page, actor Roy expressed gratitude: “Hello Outlander subreddit, we just wanted to stop by and thank you all for the early coverage of Blood of My Blood.”

He continued with anticipation, “I’m speaking on behalf of all of us, we just really can’t wait to read your reactions to our premiere on August 8th on Starz.”

Roy teased fans further, saying, “We have a sneaky feeling that you all might have some theories to talk about after that episode.”
