Money Heist star Úrsula Corberó Announces Pregnancy With Chino Darín

Úrsula Corberó revealed on Tuesday that she is expecting her first child with Chino Darín. The 36-year-old Spanish actress shared a photo showing her baby bump, tagged the Argentine actor, and added a playful caption: “Esto no es IA” (“This is not AI”). Within minutes, her post was flooded with congratulatory comments.

Chino Darín, the son of Ricardo Darín, echoed the announcement on his Instagram Stories, using a string of emojis to show the happiness and intensity of the moment he is living alongside Corberó.

An Outpouring of Reactions on Social Media

As expected, the joyful news of Corberó and Darín’s pregnancy quickly became a trending topic on social media. Celebrities from Argentina and Spain filled the comments section with love and congratulations. Among them were Emilia Mernes, Cale Ruggeri, Vera Spinetta, Matías Martín, Belén Negro, and Leticia Siciliani, all sending their best wishes to the couple.

International colleagues also joined in. Élite stars Arón Piper and Manu Ríos, along with Corberó’s Money Heist co-star Pedro Alonso, sent their love. Alonso wrote: “Todo el amorcito del mundo para vosotros” (“All the love in the world for you”). Even singer Camila Cabello added her heartfelt congratulations.

Family members shared their excitement too. Florencia Bas, mother of Chino Darín, expressed her overwhelming joy: “¡Me explota el corazón de alegría y amor! ¡Los amo con mi vida a los tres!! Qué locura hermosa, qué lindos, qué ansiedad! ¡Felicidades para ustedes y para mí jajajaa!! Lo bella que estás” (“My heart bursts with joy and love! I love the three of you with all my life!! What a beautiful madness, how gorgeous, how exciting! Congratulations to you and to me too hahaha!! How beautiful you look”).

A Love Story That Began on Screen

Corberó and Darín’s romance began in late 2015 during the filming of the Spanish series La Embajada. On-screen they played a couple, and their bond soon blossomed into real life. Although they prefer to keep their relationship private, Darín once admitted it was love at first sight. “Nos conocimos en 2015, en el rodaje de La embajada. Llegué a España pensando ‘son solo seis meses, dos proyectos y me las pico’. Pero conocí a Úrsula y todo cambió” (“We met in 2015 during the filming of La Embajada. I arrived in Spain thinking, ‘it’s just six months, two projects, and then I’m gone.’ But I met Úrsula and everything changed”), he told La Nación.

Since then, the couple has weathered distance, work commitments, and even a pandemic. Looking back on their beginnings, Corberó once said: “Él es divino, estar trabajando y que surja así el amor… Hay cosas que son inevitables. Suceden, pasan y hay que tratarlas con la mayor naturalidad posible. Además de ser bello y luminoso, tiene un talentazo” (“He is wonderful, to be working and for love to blossom like that… Some things are inevitable. They happen, and you must treat them with naturalness. Besides being beautiful and radiant, he is incredibly talented”).

In the early years, the couple alternated between Spain and Argentina, relying on video calls to stay connected. In 2020, they spent the pandemic lockdown together in Buenos Aires, and the experience went so well they decided to live together permanently. Today, they reside in Barcelona, while frequently traveling for work.

Their love and devotion are undeniable. At the Platino Awards in 2022, when asked what he loved most about Spain, Darín replied: “Mi mujer” (“My wife”). He added thoughtfully: “No puedo definirla. Si la defino, la limito” (“I cannot define her. If I define her, I limit her”). Meanwhile, at the Ondas Awards, where she was honored for El Cuerpo en Llamas, Corberó dedicated her award to her partner, calling him “the best life companion I could ever have.”
