After Netflix Exit, Supernatural Finds a New Home for All 15 Seasons

Supernatural fans, rejoice! After the shock of Netflix announcing that the hit CW series would soon disappear from its platform, there’s finally a silver lining: Prime Video is picking up the mantle. Starting December 1, all 15 seasons of the Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki-led series will be available to stream, giving fans a full chance to relive the legendary saga of the Winchester brothers.

For those who consider Supernatural a comfort show, this is especially welcome news. Its Netflix exit had left many wondering if they’d ever be able to watch the series in its entirety. Now, it joins the lineup of other projects from creator Eric Kripke, including The Boys and its hit spin-off Gen V.

Over nearly two decades, audiences followed Dean (Ackles) and Sam Winchester (Padalecki) on a thrilling quest to battle hell’s most dangerous creatures. Along the way, the brothers uncovered deep family secrets and, more than once, saved the world. The series earned a permanent place in fans’ hearts, leaving not a dry eye when it concluded in 2020.

Other unforgettable characters helped make Supernatural a fan favorite, thanks to performances from Misha Collins, Jim Beaver, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Mark Sheppard, Ruth Connell, DJ Qualls, Felicia Day, and more.

The ‘Supernatural’ Boys Will Fight Together Again

While there are no immediate plans to bring the series back to TV, a new graphic novel continues the Winchesters’ journey, filling in parts of the story that never made it to screen. Plus, Ackles, Padalecki, and Collins will reunite in the upcoming fifth and final season of Kripke’s The Boys, with Ackles reprising his role as Soldier Boy from Season 3.

As for what roles Padalecki and Collins will take on, details remain under wraps. With Season 5 expected next year, fans have plenty to anticipate.

For now, stream Supernatural on Netflix before it officially jumps to Prime Video on December 1.
