Call Me Kat, starring The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik, has cast Arrow actor Parker Young in its upcoming third season.

According to TVLine, Young will guest star in episode four as Brian Anderson, a man who Kat becomes obsessed with while she’s on a mission to have a child.

The season two finale saw Kat head for Paris while her love interest Max left for Nashville to pursue a music career, but season three will see Kat return to Louisville “feeling refreshed and ready to ascertain what she wants from life… and whether her future includes a journey to motherhood”.

The series is inspired by British sitcom Miranda, which starred Miranda Hart, Lucifer’s Tom Ellis and Sarah Hadland, and follows Kat as she quits her job as a University of Louisville lecturer to spend the money her parents had set aside for her wedding to open a cat café.

Julian Gant (Real Steel), Swoosie Kurtz (Pushing Daisies), Kyla Pratt (Doctor Dolittle), Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story) and Leslie Jordan (Will & Grace) star opposite Bialik, who produces the show with her former Big Bang Theory co-star Jim Parsons.

Another Big Bang reunion is in store for season three, as Maria Ferrari is set to come onboard to oversee the show alongside Two and a Half Men’s Jim Patterson.Ferrari was an executive producer and writer on Big Bang Theory, and also takes similar roles on its spin-off Young Sheldon.

The hiring of Ferrari and Patterson marks the second significant showrunner shift for Call Me Kat after Darlene Hunt was replaced by the now-departing Alissa Neubauer in season one.
