Former Grey’s Anatomy star Sandra Oh gets a very sweary welcome in the first look at her new Netflix show The Chair.
The streaming service has unveiled a delightfully NSFW first look at the six-episode comedy series from Game of Thrones bosses DB Weiss and David Benioff and actress Amanda Peet.
In The Chair, Oh’s character Dr Ji-Yoon Kim tries to bring changes to the fictional Pembroke University as its first ever person of colour to chair its English department.
Dr Kim is quite pleased to be settling in during the teaser, especially when unwrapping a nameplate describing her as the “F**ker in Charge of you F**king F**ks”.
Joining Oh in the cast are Two and a Half Men’s Holland Taylor, Transparent star Jay Duplass and 13 Reasons Why’s Nana Mensah as Pembroke’s populace.
We imagine the cast had an amazing time working with Oh since Killing Eve co-star Jodie Comer spoke to Digital Spy about how effortless it is to collaborate with the Golden Globe-winning actress.
“What’s incredible is sometimes you get to set and you can act with people and it can work well and it can be great and then sometimes, a handful of times, you can meet someone and there is so much that goes unsaid,” she told us.

“There’s a really strong connection and I feel like I found that, felt that, with Sandra from the moment I auditioned with her.”
The Chair premieres on Netflix on Friday, August 20.
