The Droughtlander is in full force and Outlander fans are desperate for some kind of relief.
Season seven, part two is confirmed to be premiering at some point in 2024 but a concrete date is yet to be announced by network Starz.
The second half is expected to take its cue from the eighth book by Diana Gabaldon, Written in My Own Heart’s Blood.
While fans wait, many are curious to know more about the characters and storylines.
Many fans already know about Jamie Fraser’s (played by Sam Heughan) various marriages as well as his brief encounters with Mary MacNab (Emma Campbell-Jones) and Geneva Dunsany (Hannah James). But what about his wife Claire Fraser (Caitríona Balfe)?
How many times has Claire Fraser been married in Outlander?
Claire has been married three times with her first husband being Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies).
The couple tied the knot shortly before World War II broke out with Claire working as a field medic on the frontline in France.
Her husband Frank remained in England and worked for the intelligence services.
As fans will remember, the start of Outlander saw Frank and Claire go on a second honeymoon to Inverness as they reconnected after the war.
However, in a twist of fate, Claire was sent back through the stones where she met her second husband Jamie in the 1700s.
Claire was forced to wed Jamie for her own protection after she was suspected of being an English spy.
The pair were practically strangers but ended up falling in love and their chemistry hailed the start of a passionate and steamy romance for the ages.
However, Claire does have a third husband whom only book readers may be aware of.
A grief-stricken Claire wed Lord John Grey (David Berry) after believing Jamie had died at sea after his ship got caught in a deadly storm.
Again, she married for her own protection as the American Revolutionary War ramped up.
The couple’s marriage was short-lived after Jamie turned up very much alive and was furious at both his best friend and wife for betraying him.
Jamie’s resurrection meant Claire and Lord John’s marriage became invalid as she was already still legally bound to the Highlander.
This mirrored Jamie’s marriage to Laoghaire MacKenzie (Nell Hudson) after Claire went back to the future.
