Will there be a Lucifer and Gotham crossover?

At the moment, it remains unknown if there will be a Lucifer and Gotham crossover.

However, as it is the final season of Lucifer, anything could happen.

Tom Ellis, who plays the titular character, Lucifer Morningstar in the series posted a photograph of him and Drew Powell on Instagram.

He captioned the post: “Such a pleasure having @realdrewpowell on the set of @lucifernetflix yesterday!!!!!#lucifer.”

Powell replied: “You’re a bloody legend mate! Can’t wait to mix it up again with you down the road. PS: this ep is gonna blow people’s minds!”

Immediately fans began to speculate whether Powell will be reprising his role as Butch Gilzean/Solomon Grundy in Lucifer season five.

One fan wrote: “Butch Gilzean On Lucifer” alongside a huge smiley face.

A second fan commented: “Butch is that you??”

A third fan said: “Butch is a crossover with Gotham?”

Powell starred as supervillain Butch Gilzean/Solomon Grundy in the first four seasons of Gotham.

His character was killed off in the season four finale of Gotham by Penguin (played by Robin Lord Taylor).

For now, it remains unclear if Powell will reprise his role as villain Butch Gilzean/Solomon Grundy in Lucifer, or if he is simply playing a brand new character.

One thing is for sure, a Gotham and Lucifer crossover would be a very entertaining episode.

The likelihood of a crossover remains very low, considering Butch is dead.

Judging by a photograph shared on his twitter, Powell may star in the musical episode of Lucifer.
