Lucifer is finally back with all new episodes next month, and the show’s official Twitter page has been keeping fans guessing with some never-before-seen gifs from season five, part two.
Fans can finally start preparing for another Lucifer watch party as the second half of the show’s game-changing fifth season is hitting Netflix at the end of May. With another eight episodes on the way, theories have been flying thick and fast after new animated gifs were posted to the series’ official Twitter page.
Seven short clips from the second half of Lucifer’s fifth season have given fans a sneak peek at what’s to come next month.
Episodes 9-16 will finally be dropping on Netflix on Friday, May 28 after several long months of waiting for the series to continue.
Lucifer season five concluded its midseason finale with several excruciating cliffhangers last August.
Most importantly, viewers were teased the long awaited reunion between Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) and his dad, God (Dennis Haybsert).
With just over a month left and hype for the series’ return reaching tipping point, fans have finally been given their first look at the rest of the season.
Although a trailer is surely on its way soon, the new gifs have given ‘Lucifans’ a very rough idea as to where each character will be at the start of the next instalment.
Lucifer’s showcase clip has revealed the devil in his element, entertaining a crowd of guests at his LA nightclub, Lux.
This has thankfully confirmed a return of Lucifer’s signature piano, and may well be a snippet from season five’s upcoming musical episode, ‘Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam’.

With Lucifer and God’s impending reunion threatening to reignite their millennia-old conflict, fans will be pleased to know the series will still find time to cut loose in part two.
Unfortunately, the rest of the gif set has suggested a far more sombre entry to the popular Biblical drama could be on its way next month.
The new clip featuring the devil’s detective beau Chloe Decker (Lauren German) picks up after their tense conversation that kicked off last year’s sensational climax.
Before he and Amenadiel (DB Woodside) faced off against his evil twin brother, Michael, Lucifer struggled to work up the courage to tell Chloe he loved her.
With Amenadiel stopping time upon his sudden arrival with baby Charlie, to Chloe it would have appeared Lucifer simply got cold feet and fled the scene.
In Chloe’s gif, the detective appears stricken as she tells Lucifer, ‘I get why you ran away.’
Meanwhile, Amenadiel’s suspicions are raised as he refers to an unknown character as being ‘up to something’.
Whether season five will reveal some of God’s ulterior motives, feature yet another scheme of the devious Michael or introduce a whole new threat altogether will all be revealed next month.
Plus, the demonic Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt) is still recovering from the fight in the LAPD precinct in her own gif.
The ruthless and morally ambiguous bounty hunter astonished fans by turning against Lucifer in season five, and she’s potentially seen hiding from the consequences of her own actions in the new sneak peek.
Fan favourites Linda Martin (Rachael Harris) and Ella Lopez (Aimee Garcia) also get a look in, with the latter’s quirky CSI teasing another killer on the prowl.
Finally, Chloe and Detective Douche himself, Dan Espinoza (Kevin Alejandro) are spotted joking around during a case, shortly after Dan finally learned Lucifer’s true identity.
Sadly, a full length trailer is still nowhere to be seen, but diehard fans are hopeful the latest updates from the show’s Twitter page has teased new footage could be on the way very soon.
Lucifer Season 5, Part 2 will be released on Friday, May 28 on Netflix.
