Lucifer is currently in the final stages of production for its highly anticipated sixth and final season, and lead stars Tom Ellis and Lauren German were recently spotted in an exciting behind the scenes clip.
The devil’s high class nightclub Lux has been a mainstay in the popular Netflix series ever since its early days on Fox. As Tom Ellis and Lauren German wrap up their final scenes as Lucifer Morningstar and Chloe Decker, showrunner Ildy Modrovich has released a stunning new clip from the set of the final season on Twitter and Instagram.
Ildy Modrovich has released an emotional video from the set of Lucifer’s sixth and final season.
The new clip features series leads Tom Ellis and Lauren German celebrating with the crew in the series’ iconic Lux set.
Lucifer Morningstar’s swanky LA nightclub has been a permanent fixture of the fantasy drama since the first season debuted on Fox in 2016.
The showrunner’s latest update from behind the scenes has confirmed the high class establishment will once again play a pivotal role in season six.
On Twitter, she captioned the video: “Video of our beautiful crew the last day in LUX lovingly made by the incredibly talented [Joshua Coleman].”

Modrovich then added a touching message to the cast and crew: “I MISS EVERYONE SO MUCH ALREADY!!!”
In the video, the camera pans round the entire set, giving ‘Lucifans’ a full view of the luxurious nightclub stage.
Ellis and German, along with the show’s dedicated production team, are all shown dancing and applauding to mark the end of season six’s production.
Lucifer’s heart-warming behind the scenes send off naturally prompted some emotional responses from the show’s fans.
Many on social media admitted they shed a tear as they realised Modrovich’s last post from the set confirmed the series is well on its way to coming to an end.
One Twitter user replied: “Such a beautiful video and great memories for you and us as we peek into what was once Lux.
“The crew and the cast are so special. Yep I’m crying.”
Production on season six began last September after Netflix thrilled viewers by announcing the show’s fifth outing wouldn’t actually be its last.
The long running showrunner also posted the new clip on Instagram and received a similarly passionate response from her followers.
“This makes me so emotional,” replied one fan. “Thank you for the best years for my life.”
And another commented: “Ildy I literally cried for 30 minutes straight watching this earlier I have so much love for you all.”
Thankfully, Netflix subscribers still have the final eight episodes of season five to look forward to before Lucifer starts to come to an end.
Filming ran into a number of issues amid the first outbreak of coronavirus last year, but was finally able to wrap up in time for a May 28 release for part two.
Meanwhile, it’s not yet known when season six will bring Lucifer to a close, though fans are currently anticipating an early 2022 release for the final instalment.
Lucifer Season 5, Part 2 will be released on Friday, May 28 on Netflix.
