Money Heist spoilers follow.
Money Heist is returning for its final five episodes in just a few weeks, and after having ramped up the tension so much in the first part of the season, Netflix is definitely enjoying teasing us with plenty of trailers and other bits of promotional #content.
The latest bit to get us excited is an inside look at the final few episodes (which you can see for yourself above), with the cast teasing that what you are going to see is going to be so good that you won’t be able to sleep. A very bold claim indeed.
What intrigues is the most is an explanation for a character return we weren’t expecting to see in a previous trailer.
It looked like Tokyo died in part one, but there she was in the new part two footage that Netflix released. Has she somehow survived her grisly end? Would the show really undo her noble sacrifice?
No, of course not, that would be ridiculous. The featurette sees actress Úrsula Corberó being asked how she would like to return in some flashback scenes, confirming that the character is definitely dead and her scenes are all set in the past.
Even better, Corberó stated that she wants her flashback scenes to be full of dancing, which will hopefully provide a nice bit of levity in amongst all the insomnia-inducing drama we’re apparently going to be getting.
As well as Tokyo’s death, the first part of the final season left us with Helsinki trapped under rubble and needing a leg amputation, while Stockholm has self-injected morphine, the army is closing in, and even The Professor has taken out a gun.
Lots to look forward to then!
Money Heist is available on Netflix, and season 5 part 2 will launch on December 3.
