Netflix has finally revealed the air date of Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 7
Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 7 will soon be landing on the streaming platform, much to the delight of viewers.
“The best day of the year is when we can *actually* give you an answer when you ask where the next season of B99 is. Today is that day,” the streaming service wrote on Twitter.
“Brooklyn Nine-Nine S7 comes to Netflix UK/IE on 26 March.”
Netflix later added: “Nice to see that, as tradition dictates, there are people asking for S8 already…”
Season 8 only recently started filming and is set to air this year, but so far has no set premiere date.
The show originally scrapped the scripts for the first four episodes of the upcoming series to “start over” following the Black Lives Matter protests and the death of George Floyd.
Andre Braugher, who plays Raymond Holt on the show, explained: “We’re going into an eighth season with a new challenge, which is that everyone’s knowledge and feelings about police… have been profoundly affected.”
He continued: “What we have from [creator] Dan [Goor] is a commitment to write a smart show that will not attempt to hide itself in a fantasy.
“So the Nine-Nine is going to have to deal with what we know about the New York Police Department.”
Jake Peralta actor Andy Samberg previously said: “The challenge is going to be being honest about what is going on in the world and not shying away from the fact that there are serious problems, and also not punishing viewers who like our show and care about our characters.
“Our characters need to examine their roles in the world. They’re going to be forced to look in the mirror and see who they’re complicit with.”
