Every season, we see Claire and Jamie separated for some time. Is that going to happen in Outlander Season 7? We’re looking into the book spoilers.
Well, let’s start with the fact that Claire and Jamie will start the season separated. Technically, the answer right away is yes. However, this is from the end of the sixth season, and we’re starting up with storylines that were supposed to be in Season 6 until the season was cut shorter than initially planned.
What about once Claire and Jamie end up reuniting? We know that’s going to happen. Is the start of the season the only time the two will be separated? We can take a look at An Echo in the Bone to get an idea of what to expect.
We’ll be getting into Outlander spoilers if you haven’t read the seventh book in the series.
Outlander Season 7 will likely see Claire and Jamie separated…again
There is likely another separation coming. Neither of them like it, but they do what needs to be done for different circumstances. We can take a guess that the show will follow a specific An Echo in the Bone storyline based on the casting announcements.
Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian travel to Scotland. While there, they’re able to deal with the Laoghaire situation in full, but they also have to deal with Ian Murray’s ill health. When Laoghaire gets a letter from Marsali about Henri-Christian’s ill health too, Laoghaire asks Claire to return to America to help.
Claire does, but Jamie stays in Scotland for his sister and to be there as Ian dies. This separation leads to a major storyline involving Lord John Grey, and some photos from filming make it look like that particular storyline is going to play out in full.
