The film is set to follow Chopra’s character Mira Ray, who is struggling to cope with the loss of her fiance.
In a bid to find catharsis, Ray sends text messages to her late fiance’s old phone number, which now belongs to Sam Heughan’s character Rob Burns.
Entranced by the messages and looking to find their sender, Heughan’s character eventually enlists the help of Celine Dion, playing herself, to track down Ray and win her over.
The film will offer a major new role for Heughan who has become best known for playing Jamie Fraser in the Scottish hit series Outlander.
