Outlander star Sam Heughan has posted an exciting update ahead of his first memoir, Waypoints, being released later this year.
The Scottish actor snapped a photo of him signing bookplates for the lucky ducks who ordered a signed copy of his new book. Waypoints is Sam’s first ever memoir, exploring his life and reflecting on the waypoints that define him.
Speaking about the book, Sam said: “Waypoints is a memoir with a difference! I wanted to tell the stories and share the experiences that have shaped me, but to do that I needed to challenge myself and spend some time in my own company, away from the distractions of everyday life. And for me there’s no better place to reflect than in the wild Scottish Highlands.”
The book is due to be released on Tuesday, October 25 2022, and pre-orders are still open for the Scottish stars published thoughts. Earlier this year, Glasgow Live reported the moment Sam made the announcement for Waypoints, exciting his loyal fans with the news.
The 42-year-old actor released the link to his book on his social media, writing on Instagram: “Whenever you reach a cairn on top of a summit, no matter how tall/small, add your stone…
“This was on top of the Devils Staircase looking out to the Buachaille Etive Mor. Join me on my journey, in my new memoir “Waypoints”, available for preorder now!”
Fans flocked to his comments to express their excitement at the new autobiography, with one Instagram user writing: “Thank you for selfie No11, I can’t wait to read your #Waypoints adventure.”
