Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish’s eagerly anticipated travel series Men in Kilts has finally revealed when it will premiere in the UK.
Described as “a celebration of Scottish history and culture”, it was recently confirmed via RadioTimes that the reality show will be available to stream on premium service StarzPlay from Sunday, May 9.
Men in Kilts will consist of eight half-hour episodes that see the twosome journey across their home country, learning all about its “rich, complex heritage, meeting various local artisans and experts, and experiencing genuine moments of awe and fascination”.
Whether they’re testing out all sorts of local booze or practicing a folk dance routine, fans should expect lots of “witty banter and hijinks” from the former co-stars, too, as they attempt to showcase what it really means to live North of the border.
The show was inspired by Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other – a new book put together by Heughan, who stars on Outlander as Jamie Fraser, and McTavish, who played his on-screen uncle Dougal in the time-hopping period drama.
