Outlander fans hoping to get their hands on actor Sam Heughan’s beloved Sassenach whiskey are now in luck.

After devastating fans with the news that the release of The Sassenach Spirit of Home Edition on August 25 in the U.S. had been delayed due to worldwide shipping problems, Jamie Fraser himself confirmed on Instagram that the new release date for the booze is September 7. On Monday, he shared a video of himself holding a bottle of his special edition blended scotch whiskey with a short and sweet message in the caption: “It’s coming home.”

Not surprisingly, his fans rejoiced after hearing the exciting announcement. “Super happy about this and it on my birthday 😀❤,” one fan commented. “So…you’re the delivery guy? Nice! 😉😍🥃,” another joked. “I need🔥🙌❤️👏👏👏,” a different fan remarked.

With the holiday season around the corner, we can’t think of a better gift to give the Outlander aficionados in your life than a bottle of Jamie-approved scotch. And with season 6 likely to come out in early 2022, fans have plenty of time to sip on the gold stuff and rewatch old episodes in anticipation. That, or maybe now is a good time to read Diana Gabaldon’s novel series (which, of course, inspired the Starz drama series in the first place).

Either way, Sam’s latest Instagram is certainly welcome news for his fans. Maybe in the weeks to come, his followers will also start getting more Instagram updates about season 6 specifically. So far, we know very little about the upcoming season, besides that Jessica Reynolds, Mark Lewis Jones, and Alexander Vlahos are joining the cast and that the show will likely follow the events in Diana’s sixth book, A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Regardless, we’re sure season 6 will be amazing, just like this news about The Sassenach.
