Sex Education fans will soon be able to watch season three on Netflix.
The show announced that it will make its highly-anticipated return to the streaming service on September 17.
Sharing the news via Twitter, the Netflix post reads: “The wait is almost over! Sex Education Season 3 premieres September 17 — FIRST LOOK.”
Alongside the tweet were four new images from the upcoming season of Sex Education, giving viewers a glimpse into what’s ahead.
The Sex Education characters set to return for the third season include Otis (Asa Butterfield), Eric (Ncuti Gatwa), Jean (Gillian Anderson), Maeve (Emma Mackey), Aimee (Aimee Lou Wood), Adam (Connor Swindells), Jackson (Kedar Williams-Stirling), Ola (Patricia Allison), Lily (Tanya Reynolds) and Headmaster Groff (Alistair Petrie).
The new season will see Otis having casual sex while Eric and Adam make things between them official. Elsewhere, Jean is preparing to have a baby, there’s also a new headteacher at Moordale. Hope (Jemima Kirke) heads into Moordale and wants to make some big changes in an attempt to improve the school’s reputation.
Sex Education’s season three logline also reads: “Aimee discovers feminism, Jackson gets a crush and a lost voicemail still looms. Prepare for commitment animals, alien phenomena, vulva cupcakes and much more of Madam Groff.”
Season three will consist of eight episodes, which follows the format of the previous first and second seasons.
The show’s leading star recently said that viewers “aren’t ready” for the upcoming season.
Posting on Twitter, Butterfield wrote: “Lemme just say, you lot aren’t ready for season 3, trust me.”
Sex Education seasons 1 and 2 are streaming now, while season 3 premieres on September 17 on Netflix.
