Towards the end of its run, Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik’s Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler *became* The Big Bang Theory, but now they’re working together on an entirely different show – and Mayim reckons it’s “the greatest job” she’s ever had.

Sorry, Big Bang fans.

The former on-screen couple have reunited for the upcoming US version of Miranda, with Mayim taking on Miranda Hart’s American counterpart, a cat café owner called Kat, while Jim will stay behind the scenes as an executive producer.

Ahead of new series Call Me Kat, Mayim reflected on their previous gig together. “Big Bang Theory was a finely oiled machine when I got there, which was fantastic because there was less pressure on me,” she said at Fox’s winter TCA presentation (via Entertainment Weekly).

“They all already knew what they were doing. Essentially, I imitated Jim Parsons for the first couple of years, and that seemed to work. Now [on Call Me Kat], we get to build from the ground up… This whole team has made this, for me, the greatest job I ever had.”

Jim was equally full of praise for his former Big Bang co-star and fellow Call Me Kat producer, admitting that he thought the show’s “first run-through” felt seamless.

“This group of people makes it look really easy, and it’s very difficult to make it look so easy,” he said. “They’re that good.”

As for whether we could be seeing a Jim Parsons cameo alongside Mayim in the future, Jim said: “I don’t know about a cameo, but I’d say never say never,” before adding that it’s not difficult to feel “hungry to join a show” like Call Me Kat.

Sounds pawfully promising to us.
