Stranger Things’ writers have revealed that one iconic death in season 2 almost happened very, very differently.
The writers’ Twitter account recently revealed that Bob Newby (played by Sean Astin) almost died at the hands of a possessed Will Byers (played by Noah Schnapp).
“Crazy shit that almost happened #1: In season 2, a possessed Will was going to kill Bob,” they said the tweet.
In case you don’t remember, Bob sacrifices himself during the second season of the show to save Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) and the kids.
The writers room also recently teased fans about what’s to come by posting their mood board and plot devices for the fifth and final season of the show, but obviously because they don’t want to spoil the fun, the picture is extremely blurred.
Meanwhile, Stranger Things actor David Harbour, who plays police chief Jim Hopper on the show, opened up about his return to the MCU in Thunderbolts, which was announced at Disney’s annual D23 Expo this year.
Harbour’s MCU debut was in 2021’s Black Widow, where he played the Red Guardian alongside Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh (who is also returning as Yelena Belova), Rachel Weisz and more.
