Stranger Things star Paul Reiser will be joining the cast of Prime Video’s hit show The Boys for an upcoming episode.
According to Variety, Reiser will be making an appearance as ‘The Legend’ in the fifth episode of The Boys season 3, titled, ‘The Last Time To Look On This World Of Lies’.
Exactly what the character will be getting up to has been kept underwraps so far, though Prime Video has confirmed that he’s “an iconic fan-favourite character from the original comic book series”.
You can get your first look at Reiser in action below:
Reiser’s character ‘The Legend’ is from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comics, written as a parody of Marvel creator Stan Lee.
The Boys teased his appearance on Instagram on June 14, posting a cartoon version of the character alongside the caption: “A Legend is showing up Friday.”
Prime Video UK then teasingly commented on the post: “what a legend.”

The hit show has also been given the go-ahead for another series, with the news confirmed earlier this week. Showrunner Eric Kripke said of the renewal: “Speaking for the cast and crew, we’re so grateful to Sony, Amazon, and most of all the fans for embracing the show and allowing us to make more.
“We’re thrilled to continue Butcher and the Boys’ fight against Homelander and the Seven, as well as comment on the insane world we’re living in. Also, this is the first time in history that exploding genitalia has led to further success.”
Vernon Sanders, head of global television at Amazon Studios, added: “The Boys continues to push boundaries in storytelling while also being relentlessly entertaining and threading the needle on social satire that feels all too real.”
Season 3 of The Boys premiered this June, with new episodes arriving weekly and the season finale airing on July 8.
