‘The Big Bang Theory’ star Kaley Cuoco has revealed an amazing update on her new passion, TV series ‘The Flight Attendant’, as she shares the news that the show is looking at a possible November 2020 release date.
‘The Flight Attendant’ is based on Chris Bohjalian’s 2018 novel, and follows cabin crew member Cassandra Bowden (Cuoco) after she wakes up next to a dead body in a hotel in Dubai and has no recollection of what happened.
Like the most of the tv productions in 2020, filming on the series was canceled earlier in the year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but earlier this month Cuoco shared the good news that production on the series was starting up again.
And now the star also said that they’ve almost wrapped on the first season, and that it’s expected to air before the end of the year in the US.
Talking in a video she filmed with sister Briana Cuoco in her social media profiles while she waits out her quarantine before returning to work in New York, Cuoco explained that they only have a month left of shooting.
“We’ve got one more week here [in quarantine], and then back to the city to finish the show,” she shared.
“We have basically a month left of shooting, two and a half episodes left and we’ll be done. It sounds like this thing is airing in November, we don’t have an exact date yet, but that is the talk around the town. It’s very exciting.”
the beginning of this month Cuoco, who’s also acting as an executive showrunner on the series, teased that they do have plans for a second season of the show, despite it originally being planned as a limited series.
“It is a limited series, and we have plans baked in,” co-showrunner Steve Yockey added.
“We have a great producing team, we are a wonderful group of storytellers. I think we have everything in place should the show move forward after this initial mystery.”
Alongside Cuoco, The Flight Attendant also features Sons of Anarchy’s Merle Dandridge, Girls star Zosia Mamet and Glee’s Nolan Gerard Funk, while Doctor Who and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Michelle Gomez has also been confirmed to star as a series regular called Miranda.
