THE BIG BANG THEORY’S Kunal Nayyar – who played Rajesh Koothrappali on the CBS sitcom – has sent a warning message for his followers.

Raj (played by Kunal Nayyar) became an instant fan-favourite when he was introduced to Big Bang Theory viewers on CBS way back in 2007. So much so, millions still keep up to date with the man behind the character and the rest of the cast via their respective social media pages after the sitcom concluded last year. However, Nayyar has had to warn his 2.7million followed on Instagram to be “vigilant” following a string of imposter accounts.

Taking to the social media platform, the Big Bang Theory star shared the lengthy message.

Captioned “please stay vigilant”, Nayyar had written the warning as a screenshot posted to Instagram.

It said: “My only two accounts are @kunalkarmanayyar and @buddhas.in.jeans.

“I have been getting a large number of followers saying they are being contacted by Imposter accounts!”

The actor continued: “Please do not give any personal information to anyone that pretends to be me.

“There are no meet and greets planned for money – not any Google hangout sessions or Zoom chats etc.

“All my interaction is done through this page. Please report any/all imposters and stay vigilant against people trying to steal your information.”

It didn’t take long for Nayyar’s followers to send their messages of support to the Big Bang star.

One fan offered a helpful suggestion: “Look for the ‘blue verified check mark’. Report and block if not them.”

“Thank you Kunal,” commented another, while a third said: “Thanks for the heads up…”

Fans can easily report fake accounts on Instagram via the options tab on the profile and/or post in question.

This isn’t the first time this week Nayyar got fans talking as a photo from his childhood posted to the platform also caught the eye.

Alongside a sweet snap of himself as a boy published on Tuesday, Nayyar wrote: “What can I say? Once a poser, always a poser;) #babyraj.”

Again, Nayyar’s fans were quick to flood the star’s reply section, with one saying: “Handsome then, handsome now.”

A second weighed in: “Oh my goodness, what a doll baby you were!!!!”

While a third added: “Cuteness overload!!!!” followed by a series of heart emojis.
