The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik has paid her respects to the late producer Ash Christian.
The Emmy-award winning filmmaker tragically died in his sleep aged 35, on Thursday, while holidaying in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. His final post on social media read: ‘Goodnight friends.
Here’s to a great week ahead.’ And now, the Amy Farrah Fowler star has taken to Instagram with a tribute to her mentor.
Sharing a picture of Ash beaming down the lens, the 44-year-old penned: ‘Ash was one of the producers of my first attempt at making a movie.
‘He was my cheerleader from the get-go and consistently kept me positive with enthusiasm and humor.’
Mayim added: ‘Ash will be missed deeply and it won’t be the same moving forward without him.’
Fans were quick to comment on the pst where they threw their love and support around Mayim. ‘I’m so sorry for your lost. may he found peace.
Beautiful words Doctor Bialik,’ one wrote while another said: ‘sending comforting energy for your loss.’ Someone else added: ‘I’m so sorry @missmayim for your loss. I hope you are surrounded by love and support during this time of grief.’
Since the news broke, tributes have been pouring in for the star, including one from Christian’s producing partner Jordan Yale Levine of Yale Productions, who write: ‘In complete shock. RIP to my brother @ashchristian.
‘This doesn’t make any sense to me. You had so much more life to live. We’ve shared so many great memories over the years that I’ll never forget.
‘I love you and will miss you very much.’
While his producing partner Anne Clements added (via Variety): ‘Ash was a great friend, colleague and partner in crime. He was a champion of indie film and filmmakers and his love of the process of putting movies together was infectious.
‘My heart goes out to his family, especially his mother. The world lost one of the good ones.’
Ash worked on the likes of Hurricane Bianca, Social Animals and Coyote Lake, and pursued an acting career seeing him appear in The Good Fight, The Good Wife and Law and Order.
