The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco has revealed she’s developed carpal tunnel syndrome from holding her baby.

The actress and husband Tom Pelphrey welcomed their first child together back in April of this year, a daughter named Matilda.

In a video posted by trainer Ryan Sorenson’s on his Instagram account, Cuoco was seen wearing a brace on her wrist and explained: “So some of you may know I have this, like, major wrist/hand injury from holding the baby. It’s a very real thing. Google it.”

In the post’s caption, Sorenson elaborated further, writing: “Since having her baby @kaleycuoco has been suffering with what’s called carpal tunnel syndrome, basically numbness and tingling in the hands and arms from a pinched nerve…mostly due to holding the baby.

“So, other than laying off her workouts, we just adjust and make them more about lower body and core work. Always finding ways to work around these things and most importantly no excuses!”

Meanwhile, earlier this week, Pelphrey made headlines when he admitted he had never seen The Big Bang Theory when he started dating Cuoco.

Pelphrey explained that when he first brought her to meet his family, his mother’s partner kept calling her Penny accidentally.

“I had no clue what was going on,” Pelphrey explained. “So I pulled Kaley aside, like, ‘I’m sorry, I don’t understand what’s happening. Why does he keep calling you Penny?’

“She’s like, ‘That’s my character in The Big Bang Theory’. I was completely unaware. I’ve watched a few episodes with her since, and, obviously, she’s fantastic.”
