My Adventures with Superman, the new animated series starring The Boys’ Jack Quaid, has confirmed its release date in a new trailer.
The upcoming Adult Swim and Max series is a “coming-of-age” story that focuses on “twenty-somethings Clark Kent, and the bright and driven Lois Lane”.
In the new trailer, Kent tries to hide his powers and be a “normal man having a normal day”, though struggles to hold in his powers. Lane, meanwhile, desperately tries to crack the identity of Superman, unaware that he’s beside her the whole time.
The clip also reveals that the show will premiere in exactly a month’s time on Thursday, July 6 with its first ten episodes.
According to the show’s synopsis, Kent and Lane will be joined by “their best friend Jimmy Olsen as they begin to discover who they are and everything they can accomplish together as an investigative reporting team at the Daily Planet”.
As well as Quaid’s Superman, the series includes the voices of Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist star Alice Lee as Lane, and Soul’s Jeannie Tirado as Lana Lang.
Quaid is perhaps best known for playing Hughie Campbell in Prime Video’s The Boys, and recently landed his next role in sci-fi movie Companion.
Specific details about the project remain under wraps for now, but it will be written and directed by Drew Hancock, with Barbarian’s Zach Cregger on board as a producer.
