The Boys season 3 spoilers follow.

Simon Pegg has confirmed that he’s wrapped filming on season four of The Boys.

The actor, who will reprise his role as Hughie Campbell’s (Jack Quaid) father, revealed the news on Instagram with a photo of a Vought Studios truck and the caption: “That’s a wrap for me on this season of @theboystv.

“More fun than a Compound V enema. So proud to be part of this incredible show. Will miss everyone. Season 4 is going to be INSANE!!!”

The update hopefully means it’s only a matter of time before the entire season wraps. After all, it looks like season four is shaping up to be the biggest yet as it will introduce fans to a number of new characters.

Last month, it was confirmed that Black Mirror’s Rosemarie DeWitt will take on the role of Hughie’s long lost mother, while Supernatural’s Rob Benedict and Titans’ Elliot Knight were cast in undisclosed roles.

The news came after Twilight’s Valorie Curry and Orange Is the New Black’s Susan Heyward were cast as Supe sisters Firecracker and Sister Sage, respectively.

The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan has also joined The Boys after years of speculation, though his role is being kept under wraps for the time being.

One character we won’t be seeing is Nathan Mitchell’s Black Noir, whose death at the hands of Homelander in the season three finale was controversial for fans.

“I did not expect the fans to react like that, and be like, ‘Oh, he’s dead. That sucks’. It was much more than I was expecting,” Mitchell recently told Digital Spy. “It was really nice to experience, and nice to see how emotionally connected to Black Noir everyone is, or has been.

But Mitchell will still be part of season four, playing a new character.

The Boys seasons 1-3 are streaming on Prime Video. Season 4 is in production.
