The Boys season 4 has added both Susan Heyward and Valorie Curry to the cast.

Famed for their roles in Orange Is the New Black (Heyward played Tamika Ward) and The Following (Curry was Emma Hill), showrunner Eric Kripke helped unveil their arrival on Twitter this week.

“These new Supes are some of the best & craziest ever written for #TheBoys. You are going to love them. And by love, I mean be absolutely horrified & a tiny bit nauseous. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY YOU GUYS,” he wrote.

Heyward and Curry are playing Sister Sage and Firecracker respectively.

Also in his tweet, Kripke reshared the news that Cameron Crovetti has been promoted to a series regular as Homelander’s powerful offspring Ryan.

Interestingly, he told TVLine that season 4 largely “hinges on Ryan and the battle for his soul”.

“If Ryan turns into another little sociopathic Homelander, that’s apocalyptic,” Kripke added. “But on the other hand, if Butcher’s able to pull him away from that, then you might have the only person who can actually fight Homelander.”

Another name fans will be eager to have on the call sheet is Jensen Ackles, who introduced his nuclear weapon of a supe, Soldier Boy, last season.

“The old TV adage is like, never kill anyone unless you really, really have to. Never close a door, open a window,” Kripke teased in July. “We’ll all have to wait and see, but I can’t imagine the series ending without Soldier Boy making another appearance.”

There’s that cryogenic chamber to contend with first…

The Boys seasons 1-3 are streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
